EU move to one-day settlement cycle from 2027 formally issued

( October 14, 2025, 08:59 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: New EU rules to shorten the time allowed to complete most share and bond trades to one business day after they are made, or T+1, were issued on Tuesday in the EU's official bulletin. Starting on Oct. 11, 2027, the change is meant to reduce risk, improve market efficiency and keep Europe in step with other major markets.
