Tokenization support plan set out by UK financial watchdog

Tokenization is a way of representing an asset, or ownership of an asset, by recording it on distributed ledger technology. The FCA’s proposal includes guidance for operating tokenized fund registers under its current rules, a streamlined model for fund managers to process buying and selling of units in authorized funds and a roadmap to advance fund tokenization and address key barriers. The first four chapters of the consultation are open for feedback until Nov. 21, while the fifth chapter is open until Dec. 12.Statement follows....
