UK life insurers aiming for good outcomes in pension transfers, watchdog says

( August 15, 2025, 10:16 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: UK life insurers are well-intentioned and seek to ensure consumers receive good outcomes when transferring their pensions, the sector regulator said following a review. The Financial Conduct Authority said more than three-quarters of the firms in its study completed all transfer requests, on average, within 20 days. The watchdog conducted the review after warning in 2023 of poor customer service by some life insurance firms. Most of the 18 firms that provided data to the watchdog showed good practice, it said, but added that it would follow up with individual firms that continued to have slower service times.Review is attached....
