UK financial market infrastructures rules published by Bank of England

( July 18, 2025, 14:45 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Bank of England has published the "Fundamental Rules for Financial Market Infrastructures"  to set out its expectations, including with regard to financial resources, operational resilience and the actions FMIs should take to understand and manage the risk they may pose to the stability of the financial system. In parallel, the bank has set out its approach to onboarding new financial market infrastructure firms and granting permissions on disclosure, outsourcing and interoperability to central counterparties, or CCPs. It also clarified its expectations on CCPs management of initial margin procyclicality and its approach to tiering non-UK CCPs according to the level of systemic risk they potentially pose to UK financial stability.Statements are attached....
