Market participants voice concerns on upcoming proposals on EU market integration

( July 1, 2025, 15:58 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A coalition of market participants today published an open letter supporting the EU’s Savings and Investment Plan, while voicing concerns about the European Commission’s approach outlined in its public consultation regarding the upcoming package proposal on market integration. “Proposals inspired by other jurisdictions, such as mandating connection to trading venues by intermediaries or other trading venues, or implementing a best execution regime focused exclusively on execution price, would not be effective in the European context,” the letter reads.
