Whistleblowing in UK financial sector continues to rise, watchdog says

( June 24, 2025, 10:29 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The UK's financial watchdog received 1,131 reports from whistleblowers between 1 April 2024 and 31 March 2025, up from 1,124 reports the previous year and 1,086 the year before that, Financial Conduct Authority figures show. The watchdog said the reports enabled it to take direct action against firms 908 times during the period, while the top three allegations reported by whistleblowers concerned compliance, fitness and propriety and consumer detriment.Report is attached....
