Thai SEC opens public consultation on digital asset exchange listing rule changes

( June 24, 2025, 07:37 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Thailand’s Securities and Exchange Commission, or SEC, has opened a public consultation on proposed changes to the listing rules for licensed digital asset exchanges. The SEC aims to align regulatory standards with the evolving structure of the digital asset industry while maintaining investor protections and preventing conflicts of interest and market abuse. The draft amendments would allow exchanges to list their own blockchain-based cryptocurrencies or utility tokens, subject to disclosure and oversight requirements. Exchanges would also be required to report affiliated parties involved with listed tokens through the SEC’s e-reporting system to strengthen insider trading surveillance using smart detection tools. Comments can be submitted until July 21.The full announcement is attached....
