Details of EU securitization reform proposals suggest battles lie ahead

While the proposal has support from EU member states and influential bodies, tough debates are expected over the new risk-sensitive approaches and adjustments to prudential requirements.EU banks and other financial firms will see prudential and transparency rules loosened under a new securitization framework, according to a draft package proposal seen by MLex (see here)....
