New label for EU savings products launched by seven member states

( June 6, 2025, 13:41 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Seven EU countries have launched a “Finance Europe” label for financial products, led by the finance ministers of France and Spain. The label is also supported by Estonia, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Portugal, and “is open to all EU member states wishing to join in the future.” To qualify for the label, financial products must meet three cumulative criteria, including “a portfolio allocation with at least 70 percent of assets invested in European companies.” The French finance ministry said: “Banks, insurers and financial intermediaries will be able to offer labeled savings products, provided that they comply with the shared framework, once implemented nationally.” The launch took place in Paris on June 5.Please see the attached press release....
