Legislation for private UK stock exchange introduced into parliament

( May 15, 2025, 11:04 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Legislation to establish a new stock market in the UK to facilitate the trading of private company shares — the Private Intermittent Securities and Capital Exchange System, known as Pisces — has been introduced into parliament today. The Treasury, the UK’s finance ministry, said Pisces should be up and running by the autumn. The government has also promised to legislate to ensure employees retain tax advantages on share options. The Financial Conduct Authority will publish its rules underpinning Pisces shortly after the legislation comes into force.Statement below....
