Svarog fined in UK for not responding to sanctions information request

( May 8, 2025, 10:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: UK-registered Svarog Shipping & Trading Company has been fined 5,000 pounds (around $6,600) for failing to respond to an information request made by the UK Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation within the required timeframe. OFSI said it was the first time it had fined a company for such a breach. The office issued a request for information to Svarog in January 2024, but despite reminders, Svarog only responded after OFSI contacted the company’s auditors.
