Potential UK Digital Pound intermediaries receive ideas for its rules

( April 10, 2025, 14:28 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Bank of England has provided potential Digital Pound intermediaries with possible future rules that would govern that currency. The BOE said today that on top of legislative and regulatory requirements that would apply to payments interface providers and external service interface providers, it could set out additional requirements in a “scheme rulebook” — a document in place between the BOE and intermediaries. The bank also published details of the Digital Pound Lab, which will help assess the viability of business models for that currency.Statements are attached....
