UK payments regulator names Simpson interim policy head

( April 9, 2025, 09:07 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The UK Payment Systems Regulator has appointed Claire Simpson as interim Head of Policy, to replace Kate Fitzgerald, who will leave on April 30. Simpson was previously a senior manager in the PSR’s policy department, and will lead policy work on card fees, payment scams and payment infrastructure. In March, the government announced it would abolish the PSR and merge most of its functions into the Financial Conduct Authority.
