Payment acquirers could be subject to EU rules on fees disclosure, draft shows

EU countries will also discuss the notification period for communicating changes on systems’ rules and fees and whether the European Commission’s evaluation report on these practices should be made public.Financial entities known as payment acquirers, which act as an intermediary between merchants and card networks such as Visa and Mastercard, could be subject to transparency requirements on their rules and fees, according to a document to be discussed by EU member countries and seen by MLex....
