Should securities financing transactions get T+1 exemption, EU governments asked

The industry would like to see them removed from the scope, but the European Securities and Markets Authority has said so far that it isn't convinced that an exemption is needed. EU member states have been asked for feedback on about how securities financing transactions should be treated in the context of the bloc's planned move to one-day trade settlement, or T+1, according to a document seen by MLex....
