EU leaders' summit conclusions call for more effective financial supervision

In summit conclusions they asked the commission to put forward a new proposal on supervision on the basis of this assessment. The European Council conclusions today also underlined “an urgent need to strengthen Europe’s competitiveness” and an urge “to ensure a clear, simple, smart and innovation-friendly regulatory framework” at EU, national and regional level.Statement attached.  ...
