UK lawmakers defy upper chamber and keep big banks in scope of resolution bill

They voted today to reverse an amendment from the House of Lords that aimed to narrow the scope of the bill to small banks only. UK lawmakers in the lower chamber, the House of Commons, have voted to keep big banks in scope of a resolution bill which gives more flexibility to the Bank of England to resolve banks' failures....
