Two Sigma settles with US SEC over claims it failed to address vulnerabilities

( January 16, 2025, 22:27 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Two Sigma Advisers settled with the US Securities and Exchange Commission over claims that it breached its fiduciary duty by failing to reasonably address known vulnerabilities in their investment models and for related compliance and supervisory failures, as well as for separately violating the whistleblower protection rule. Two Sigma voluntarily repaid impacted funds and accounts $165 million during the SEC’s investigation and agreed to pay $90 million in civil penalties as part of the settlement.
