EU's move to T+1 trade settlement cycle should be in October 2027, ESMA says

( November 18, 2024, 14:25 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The transition from a two-day trade settlement cycle to one should happen in October 2027 and ideally on Oct. 11, the European Securities and Markets Authority said in a dedicated report published today. The move would require a legislative change, as well as coordination of all market participants.
