ESMA, Eiopa send tips on retail investors proposal to EU policymakers

( November 14, 2024, 15:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The EU Retail Investment Strategy proposal, aimed at empowering consumers to make investment decisions aligned with their needs and preferences, should be complemented with policies to enhance its effectiveness and to avoid multiple revisions in a short period of time, the chairs of supervisory authorities ESMA and Eiopa have said in a letter to policymakers in the EU's legislative institutions. Verena Ross and Petra Hielkema also call on the European Commission and lawmakers to consider the resource implications of the RIS proposal for both the public and private sector.Letter attached....
