13 EU countries urged to submit updated CO2 reduction plans

( November 14, 2024, 11:35 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Belgium, Bulgaria, Czechia, Estonia, Greece, Croatia, Cyprus, Malta, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, and Slovakia have been urged by the European Commission to submit their updated emission reduction programs known as National Energy and Climate Plans. These were due by June 30 of this year and are key for the commission to check if the EU is on track to meet its 2030 climate goal. The 13 governments have two months to reply to the commission or they risk a final warning. Statement follows....
