US OCC hires first climate-change risk officer, joins Network for Greening the Financial System

( July 27, 2021, 20:58 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency has hired Darrin Benhart as its first climate-change risk officer and joined the Network of Central Banks and Supervisors for Greening the Financial System. NGFS is a network of 83 central banks and financial supervisors that work to develop green finance and recommendations about central banks' role in addressing climate-change risk. Benhart was a key member of the OCC Large Bank Supervision team overseeing Bank of America and he has served as deputy comptroller for supervision risk management and deputy comptroller for credit and market risk.See statement below....
