Retail investment strategy published by EU Commission

As reported by MLex, the EU executive will follow through with its plan to only introduce a ban on kickbacks, or "inducements" for execution-only services to retail clients, rather than enacting a full-scale ban on the practice. The strategy will amend parts of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive, the Insurance Distribution Directive, Solvency II, and the directives governing mutual and alternative investment funds.
