Two hired as UK CMA gears up for state-aid function after Brexit

( April 10, 2018, 14:17 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The UK’s antitrust authority has made two senior appointments to oversee its newly acquired function as the country’s state-aid regulator after Brexit. The Competition and Markets Authority has appointed Sheldon Mills as interim senior director of state aid, and Juliette Enser as interim project director of state aid. Last week, the CMA said it would take on the “European Commission’s monitoring and enforcement functions in respect of state aid” after Brexit. Further details on how it will carry out these new tasks will be set out “in due course,” it said.Statement follows....
