New York-based audit partner slapped with consumer watchdog's biggest individual fine ever

( October 18, 2022, 19:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board imposed its largest fine ever against an individual — $150,000 — for misleading inspectors and investigators during two inspections and a subsequent investigation. The individual, Jonathan B. Taylor, an audit partner at Spielman Koenigsberg & Parker, also was barred from associating with a registered public accounting firm. In addition, the New York-based firm was fined $150,000, and its PCAOB registration revoked, for failing to implement adequate quality-control policies for audits of issuers.
