Malaysia registers six P2P financing platform operators

( November 4, 2016, 03:57 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Malaysia’s Securities Commission has introduced six registered peer-to-peer, or P2P, financing platform operators to expand funding opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises, the regulator has announced. The six operators are B2B FinPAL, Ethis Kapital, FundedByMe Malaysia, ManagePay Services, Modalku Ventures and Peoplender. They are expected to be fully operational next year. The commission unveiled a P2P financing framework in April, aiming to address SMEs' need for working capital and capital for growth.
