Banks see Basel Committee disclosure framework for cryptoasset exposures published

( July 17, 2024, 12:44 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A final disclosure framework for banks’ cryptoasset exposures has been published by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision. It will require banks to disclose qualitative information on their crypto-asset related activities and quantitative information on capital and liquidity requirements for crypto exposures. The committee has also published amendments to its cryptoasset standard to tighten the criteria for certain stablecoins to receive preferential treatment.
