International Organization of Securities Commissions: Masamichi Kono of Japan FSA to lead IOSCO’s Technical Committee

Kono's term begins in two days and runs until next year, when the group will reorganise its committee structure. Now vice chairman of the Technical Committee, he replaces Hans Hoogervorst, who is becoming International Accounting Standards Board chairman.The International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Masamichi Kono, as Chairman of IOSCO’s Technical Committee. Mr. Kono will take up his appointment at the close of the Annual Conference in Cape Town on Thursday 21 April and his term will run until 2012 when IOSCO will merge its constituent committees to form the IOSCO Board....
