EBA proposes guidelines for deposit-guarantee systems to cooperate across borders

( July 29, 2015, 16:02 GMT | Official Statement) -- National deposit-guarantee systems will have to communicate with each fast enough to meet EU deadlines for repayment in all countries of a failing bank, under draft guidelines of the European Banking Authority. The EBA proposed that home-country authority would have until two days before the payout deadline to provide all necessary information to authorities in other countries, which are hosting branches of that bank.The following text is from the statement.
