No systemic banking crisis, BOE governor Bailey says

At a speech given in Washington DC, Andrew Bailey said post-crisis reforms to bank regulation “have worked” and that UK banks are “well-capitalized, liquid and able to serve their customers and support the economy.” Some questions arise from recent events, including the sale of Credit Suisse to UBS and the collapse of three US banks, such as whether the total size of bank liquidity buffers is appropriate in the face of how easily a bank can be subjected to a run, Bailey said.Speech attached....
