UK stock-listings rules overhaul gets FCA approval

( July 10, 2024, 23:01 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The biggest overhaul of the UK listings regime for three decades is set to enter into force on July 29, the Financial Conduct Authority has said in a statement. Companies will be able to list in London more easily and will all fall under a single category. The new rules also remove the need for votes on significant or related party transactions and offer flexibility around enhanced voting rights. “These new rules represent a significant first step toward reinvigorating our capital markets, bringing the UK in line with international counterparts and ensuring we attract the most innovative companies to list here," finance minister Rachel Reeves said.Statement follows....
