List of systemically important global banks published by FSB

( November 22, 2019, 10:41 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex summary: A list of global banks identified as systemically important has been updated today by the Financial Stability Board. The list determines which of the world’s biggest banks should be subject to higher capital buffers and higher supervisory expectations. Compared to last year’s list, the number of global banks identified as systemically important has increased from 29 to 30, with Toronto Dominion appearing this year. Deutsche Bank has moved down a bucket, which means its capital buffers can be decreased. Coinciding with today’s list is a publication from the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, which has issued further information relating to this year’s assessment of the large banks.Basel Committee press release follows.
