Court admonishments of US CFTC staff in Traders Global case 'grave matter,' should've been called to agency's attention sooner, Pham says

( July 3, 2024, 19:59 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Caroline Pham, a Republican US Commoditiy Futures Trading Commission member, said federal court admonishments of agency enforcement staff for misleading statements in the case against Traders Global are "a grave matter" that should have been brought to commission attention sooner than six months. She urged the case to be reassigned to CFTC headquarters or a different regional office. "I am shocked that this has not occurred," Pham said. She also said she has raised concerns internally about many instances of "personally disparaging and unprofessional remarks" about investigative targets and their defense counsel.
