EU’s top court confirms dismissal of AG Sharpston’s appeal over Brexit-related replacement

Sharpston was replaced by Greece’s Athanasios Rantos. The top court today said the lower court was right in holding that acts adopted by the representatives of EU member states aren’t subject to judicial review by EU courts. Sharpston had argued the General Court had wrongly dismissed her applications for annulment on the grounds that the decision and the declaration on Rantos’s appointment was adopted not by the Council, but by the representatives of the governments of the member states acting as such.
