UK funds’ exemption from retail-investor document gets five-year extension

( June 1, 2021, 15:02 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Certain UK funds will see an existing exemption to produce a key information document extended by five years, the finance ministry confirmed today. The government first proposed in July 2020 that funds known as undertakings for the collective investment in transferable securities, or Ucits, should have their exemption from producing the retail-investor document extended. The extension, confirmed by the UK Treasury, means Ucits funds providers will continue to be exempt from the requirements to produce a key information document in the Packaged Retail and Insurance-based Investment Products Regulation.Statement follows...
