US SEC charges Oppenheimer, BNY Mellon, Jefferies, TD Securities over muni-bond offering disclosures

( September 13, 2022, 17:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Securities and Exchange Commission charged Oppenheimer, BNY Mellon, TD Securities and Jefferies with failing to comply with municipal bond offering disclosure requirements. The charges are the first involving underwriters that allegedly fail to meet requirements that would exempt them from obtaining disclosures for investors. The SEC has filed litigation against Oppenheimer, while the three others agreed to pay a total of $1.25 million to settle the charges.See statement and documents below....
