UK pensions regulator increases enforcement activity

( March 22, 2023, 14:08 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The UK’s pensions regulator published data today showing how its enforcement activity against funds suspected of non-compliance with pensions rules increased in the second half of 2022. The Pensions Regulator issued around 18,900 fixed penalty notices, up 23 percent on the previous six-month period. TPR director of enforcement Erica Carroll said: “where we suspect employer-related investments breaches, we investigate fully and persistently, and take firm action against those who flout the rules, no matter the size of the scheme.
