Bank crisis management, deposit insurance framework set for negotiations after national government agreement

The review includes measures aiming to strengthen the existing EU crisis management framework, as well as improving the resolution process for small and medium-sized banks with the addition of a public interest assessment. The revised framework will be “key to the deepening of the Banking Union,” Belgian finance minister Vincent Van Peteghem said.Statement follows....
