EP Statement: Climate summit - EU should champion Kyoto Protocol, Environment Committee says

( October 26, 2011, 12:42 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Environment Committee of the European Parliament has adopted a resolution advocating the continuation of the Kyoto Protocol beyond 2012, a deal that MEPs want to be reached at the United Nations Climate Change conference in Durban in December. Among other subjects, MEPs suggest an emissions cut of more than the current 20 percent.
