FCA's RBS report summary 'fair' but omits managers' knowledge of wrongdoing, lawmakers told

( October 31, 2017, 16:29 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A summary by the UK's financial regulator of a confidential report into how Royal Bank of Scotland Group treated small businesses in difficulties during the financial crisis is “fair” but does omit some information, UK lawmakers have been told. The Financial Conduct Authority purposely left out details of what management knew of the scale of wrongdoing because those involved had no opportunity to respond to the findings, according to a barrister hired by Parliament to check the summary.The statement is attached....
