Extend non-EU financial-benchmarks rules’ transition period, index lobby tells Commission

( August 12, 2022, 17:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Planned restrictions to non-EU financial benchmarks, which would limit their use from 2024, should see a transition period extended to the end of 2025, the Index Industry Association has said. The lobby said that rules for non-EU countries under the bloc’s Benchmarks Regulation are "not fit for purpose," and that an extension before the new rules apply should be given in line with a delay in the UK.Statement follows....
