Singapore confirms two men on overseas wanted list are part of major anti-money laundering case

( May 24, 2024, 02:23 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Singapore police have confirmed that two men, aged 37 and 39, who are allegedly involved in an overseas online-gambling syndicate are part of the major anti-money laundering investigation authorities launched in August 2023. Both men have already left Singapore, but police have seized or prohibited the disposal of about S$530 million ($391 million) in assets belonging to them, which forms part of the more than S$3 billion worth of assets seized in the case. The police did not name them, but local media reports said the two are on China's wanted list for their involvement in a cross-border online-gambling syndicate. The police said it is also working with Interpol to issue Red Notices against several other individuals who are not in Singapore. The full statement follows: ...
