Netherlands to move ahead with air-passenger tax in 2021

( November 13, 2020, 15:33 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Airlines operating in the Netherlands will see a passenger tax as of Jan. 1, the government said today, adding that it will amount to 7.45 euros per departing passenger, instead of the originally envisaged 7.00 euros. But cargo traffic won’t be taxed, the government said, following findings that the move might have pushed carriers to relocate their activities to other countries, to the detriment of Dutch airports.
