Alsford Page & Gems publicly censured by UK FCA, fined GBP400,000

( April 20, 2021, 11:35 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Wholesale and reinsurance broker Alsford Page & Gems has been publicly reprimanded by the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority, and has agreed to compensate customers just under 400,000 pounds for the sale of extended-warranty insurance policies. The FCA found that APG had failed to consider the risks associated with selling products to retail customers and that there was no certainty that customers were being treated fairly.Statement follows.
