​Oregon consumers files class action lawsuit against Equifax over a massive data breach

( September 7, 2017, 22:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Oregon consumers Mary McHill and Brook Reinhard filed class action lawsuit against Equifax after the company reported that a data breach had potentially compromised the personal information of 143 million US consumers. The lawsuit alleged the Georgia-based company was negligent in failing to adequately protect the plaintiffs' credit and personal information. "In an attempt to increase profits, Equifax negligently failed to maintain adequate technological safeguards to protect Ms. McHill and Mr. Reinhard's information from unauthorized access by hackers," the complaint said.See document below....
