EU securitization rules should be clarified for third-country parties, watchdogs say

( March 26, 2021, 16:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The European Commission should issue guidance on its securitization rules, the European Securities Authorities said in a joint opinion today, to clarify the obligations of when third-country entities become party to a securitization transaction. There are four main challenges regarding the jurisdictional scope of the securitization regulation for non-EU parties, which should be addressed, the ESAs said.
