Hong Kong-based based Bitcoin exchange suffers $72m theft

( August 3, 2016, 10:26 GMT | Official Statement) -- Hong Kong-based digital currency exchange Bitfinex said that it has suspended trading on its platform after it discovered a security breach, according to a company statement posted on its website. Bitfinex confirmed in its statement that some of its users had had their Bitcoins stolen.
