Bank of England plans review of international leverage ratio

( November 26, 2013, 12:23 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Bank of England will order a review of the impact of a leverage ratio after it is set by international standard-setters early next year, Governor Mark Carney said in response to a request from Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne. The Financial Policy Committee within the BOE will carry out the assessment within a year, focusing on the level of the ratio, how it would apply at ring-fenced banks, and the impact on lending.Below is the text of the letter from Mark Carney.
