( September 10, 2024, 14:42 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: UK banks are now able to apply for a temporary exemption from the leverage ratio requirement, an indicator of the firm’s solvency that relates its capital resources to its exposures. The Bank of England has said today that the current framework is being reviewed as part of the regulator's commitment to review the leverage ratio requirement thresholds periodically to ensure that they remain consistent with the Bank of England’s stress testing framework.
