Implement Basel rules swiftly, top EU banking supervisor Buch urges

The comment comes as the European Commission suggested pushing back the entry of rules on market risks for one year — something Buch believes to not be necessary.The latest Basel rules should be applied with no further delay, the head of the European Central Bank's branch for banking supervision, told the EU Parliament's committee on economic affairs today....
